my computer disconnects me every 10 minutes

    no its a setting.

    havent downloaded ish, its always been like that, its anoying i have dial up too

    i had this happen to me for a while, then i just used mozilla instead of internet explorer and it worked out.

    thats a good suggestion, but that doesnt fix the problem, only avoids it....i say do a system restore...that is if you have win xp, if not then you can try reinstalling the modem drivers like arcel said, or even try to reinstall aol/ie

    i had that happen to me as well, for me we thought it was a virus of some sort....just back up your system onto a bunch of CD's then re-install XP or whatever operating system you use.

    meh. it's not my computer, it's the girl's, i just use it because my screen is cracked. it works, i'm happy, she's happy, it's a win-win.
