brown twinkie
hey hey...rose selavy...thanks... hows it? hows your girl? .........i've watched way too much television lately............. i don't think i'll be sending you much jazz.....seems you've got a good handle on it already.............i noticed somewhere recently you said something that sounded like you and braxton were boys...(!)(???) http://images.freefoto.com/15/14/image5.jpg'> http://images.freefoto.com/15/14/image52.jpg'> http://images.freefoto.com/15/36/image2.jpg'> http://images.freefoto.com/15/15/image1.jpg'> all from freefoto.com "If you look beyond icons that stand up within popular culture, to systems of more permanence and more economic ruggedness, then you invariably tend to end up looking at natural forms; and natural phenomena tend to have a great purposefulness to them that lends a kind of clarity and balance to thought. If you let your mind wander into what it is that these things are doing, as against just seeing a plant, you get into thinking,'Well, that plant serves its purpose: it dishes out the pollens to the bees, and the bees do this, and the water does that...' You see it as a huge great churning thing that works, perfectly, and you can't help but be inspired to create something out of the ordinary, that can be judged by those kind of standards."-Anthony Manning *tired mistake removed. Guest TEARZ
ese and browner, thank you very much. i love that quote brown, i'm ashamed to say that i have never heard of anthony manning before. he sounds like he has a handle on it for sure. please do send me jazz. i'm really not an expert by any means. i know a lot about certain areas but there are certainly large holes in my field of exposure. the ron carter photo was inspired by the ron carter album "uptown conversation" which is has been getting a lot of burn on the table lately and is so good that it's absolutely absurd. i heard that it has recently been rereleased on cd if anyone's interested. my girl is ok i think. besides the fact that she hasn't left the house since tuesday. very upset, but on tuesday, eerily related to me some very awful shit that she saw with her own two eyes in a voice that was completely vacant of emotion related to those events. since then she has become more emotional, but i think she's still in shock. and rightfully so. i think there may be an entire city of people, we'll see in a few months, with some PTSD-like symptoms. i can't really explain the braxton thing too well. he's not exactly my boy (but i know him)and i haven't played with him or anything like that. so i'm not that cool. but he did put me on to a lot of the stuff that i listen to now. i've been watching too much tv too. i can't stop. i turn it off and it feels too quiet and weird and i get scared that my thoughts nad dreams might be worse than what is being reported/repeated. i don't know. i haven't been able to read at all (besides the ego trip book on the hopper), or draw or think really. tuff stuff. oh well. how are you guys doing?
