you should check the vice article.

It talks about how all the Dogtown guys were hippies that were all about

Surfing on the streets instead of screaming down hills shouting Skate or Die!!!

I wonder what ever happend to Natas ???

The article doesn't really call them posers,

but I dont think that they Invented skating as we know it.

Guys like The original Bones Brigade, the Vision team, the Santa Cruz guys,

they were the ones that inspired my generation of skaters.

They pushed it to where it is. Slam City Jam!

sma was just another way to package santa cruz products.

I just figured that he'd be working the the offices now a days.

I honestly think that Natas' street section of the wheels of fire video is some of the best shit EVER FILMED!

I wanna see it, but all this mass media marketing of skateboarding is stupid. I almost threw up when i saw that it said "the birth of extreme" on the cover of Dogtown and Z-boys, extreme is the most over used word of the past 20 years. If you wanna advertise a new product, just write extreme on the packaging.

im living full extreme, i skateboard to my car, hop in the convertable, do a jump through flames off a cliff and jump out to a base jump, then i fly down to a motorcycle and do a back flip off a jump and ride on water to a boat that tows me and i strap on my wake board and shred it up for a while then releasing the do a spinning jump on to land grap a dew and pound it then get laid by all the hotties surrounding me. ExxxTREME

Natas | sataN

it was funny how everbody in my complex thought that Natas was satanic. skating was so much cooler back then when skateshops weren't in malls. Now you have skate comps on TSN. But then again back in the day us little kids would complain how everyone picked on skaters. At least now you won't get chased by rednecks...

remember having cars stop to yell at you ?

remember actually running away when the cops showed up?

remember getting knocked off your board by grown men?

remember having to trek an hour just just find airwalks?

remember when pro's had a vert and a street model?

fucking barto.. that was hilarious.

didn't natas start element and etnies? i'm 90% sure he did, so i'm sure he's just rooooolllllling in dough.

"wheels of fire".. oh shit. that launch ramp to boardslide on the 4-runner blew my mind back then. did you ever see natas' instructional video? i remember renting that and wheels of fire almost weekly from the local blockbuster video back in '89.

gator killed that lady after becoming a born-again christian/porno addict or something. religion will completely fuck certian folks. he didn't get into as much trouble when he was a raging alcololic.

aah, the good ole days of skating.. "jams" and painters' caps. listening to suicidal tendencies while jumping off launch ramps.. sigh.

Good stuff. I use to have a Thrasher & Budweiser painters cap. I forget about that shit.

Natas was the shit I remember trying to bust wallrides like him.

Before I could ollie I use to have a lapper, that shit was pretty lame. Definitely good times though. Remember the first Bones Brigade video where they're just doing Boneless' & shit.
