I haven't heard of any recent mergers, the last major one was the CN acquistion of Wisconsin Central. DME, is that Dakota, Minnesota, and Eastern? Im not from the midwest, but if its a regional railroad they wouldn't have substantial cash to buy out a major player like CP. The buffed units have probably been bought by the DME from CP, what did the reporting marks say on the cab? CP has many modern motive power running, and low horsepower units that take up space in yards take up money, so the CP probably sold em. Union Pacific just held an auction for many older units about a month ago...

right right, that makes sense, but as for all the bright blue boxes and new looking cp rail hoppers coming through? maybe we just needed some new cars, all i know is it's led to this new layup in town and has allowed me to paint dayspots everyday
    good looking out bosco.
