DME, is that Dakota, Minnesota, and Eastern? Im not from the midwest, but if its a regional railroad they wouldn't have substantial cash to buy out a major player like CP. The buffed units have probably been bought by the DME from CP, what did the reporting marks say on the cab? CP has many modern motive power running, and low horsepower units that take up space in yards take up money, so the CP probably sold em.
