Who says comics don't have the power to make you stop and say..."Daaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmnnnnn"

Who can forget when Superman died? Or when Doctor Octopus got married to Aunt May? What about when magneto stripped Wolverine of his Adamantium skeleton?

But here is one that sticks out most in my mind. When Yamagata was killed by tetsuo and kaneda was propping up his mangled body.

    Hard fucking core.

this scene is tight too. Real gangster shit. Reminds me of your typical east bay writer party.

Post your favorite dramatic comic book moments

Lens, I hear ya brotha. I just wish I had a scanner to post some pictures. I picked up the Akira books as they were coming out in trade paperback the past couple of years and it amazed me. The idea that one guy could create a work so vast and epic and detailed by himself is incredible. So many good panels from that book, I just wish the trades were in color like the monthlies were, they tease you by putting the first few pages in color. I have Akira #1 wrapped up, it's the US edition, worth about 40 bucks. Couldn't help but open it to look at the color.

A good recent image, the first time you see the vampires on the horizon in "30 Days of Night" by Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith.

Spawn 5, I think, when Spawn chains up the Ice Cream killer and the cops walk in on it.

The scene in the 600 page book "Blankets", where the main character and his brother are molested by the babysitter is pretty powerful, and later in the book when he and his brother begin talking again.

Half the stuff in "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac".

this is fairly new, but all the artwork in the transformers vs. g.i. joe comic book is pretty memorable and amazing to me...
