it depends on what STD.

it also depends on a lot of things.

Most STDs are transfer though genital contact,

so I dont hink you'll be getting Syphilis on your lips.

But herpes... quite possible.

oh... run away.. there's germs everywhere! :spent:

highly doubtful....

unless blood is exchanged, no

but you could get stuff like strep throat and mono, and of course a cold

most STD bacteria is too delicate to survive outside the warmth of host body fluids

you might not get an STD, but theres always the risk of THRUSH, which is a yeast infection of the mouth... but then again, she would have had to either go down on herself, or fuck herself with the glass, so no, your probably cool...

think about the title; SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE. are either of you having sex wiht the glass? then you should be fine. if the person had a gaping, bleeding wound on their mouth, and you put your mouth on the fresh blood, and also happend to have a gaping bloody wound on your mouth, you might be in trouble, otherwise, doubtful

Transmittable Diseases

Most STDs require sexual contact to get transmitted. Any mucous membrane (inside of your mouth, nose, eyes, rectum, vagina--any wet, moist tissue on your body, plus the skin on and around your penis, even though it's not wet) can be infected with certain STD bacterias or viruses. This is also true of ANY WOUND, no matter how small--like a "popped" pimple, or a cut from dental floss on your gum.

Gonorrhea is a bacteria. Bacteria can be treated (usually) with antibiotics. Gonorrhea can survive for a while on fomite surfaces (toilet seats, paper towels, underwear, drinking glasses, etc.) but catching it like that is rare. Girls are at greater risk (obviously) than are boys for catching diseases in a public toilet, including urinary infections, yeast infections, etc.

Syphilis is a bacteria. It can be carried in blood, body fluids like semen or vaginal secretions. It makes painless sores called chancres. Even if the sores go away, the bacteria is INSIDE YOUR BODY and will continue to grow and multiply unless you get treated. It attacks all body organs, including brain, heart, kidneys, etc.

Chlamydia is a bacteria, and it's syptoms are a lot like gonorrhea. It can cause sterility in girls, as well as Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID.)

Herpes Type I (cold sores) and Herpes Type II (genital herpes) can both be transferred to both genitals and other mucous membranes, including the eyes. There is no cure, but antiviral medications and ointments can slow it down a lot. People who have herpes usually get it over and over and over. The viruses live inside the lining of the nerves between the outside and your spine. If you get stressed--ZING! "It's baaack."

Hepatitis A, B, C, & Delta are caused by viruses that are sort of like cousins. There is no cure for hepatitis, once you got it, you got it for life, although Hep A can go into remission. You turn yellow all over, and then as you recover, it goes away. It makes you sick as hell. Hep B is especially infectious and is often passed by sex or shooting up needle drugs. This is true of Hep C, too. They are both blood-borne diseases, like HIV. There is an innoculation for Hep B, but no cure or innoculation for Hep C. It causes liver cancer. I don't know much about Hep Delta, but you don't want to catch it, take my word for it. Infected mothers can give hepatitis to their unborn children. Couples can give it to each other.

There are a bunch more STD's and diseases that you can get from sex or needle drugs, including HIV. What the fuck--don't be stupid. Use a condom and stay the hell away from blood and needles. AND sick people, too. Don't have sex with anybody unless YOU'VE BOTH BEEN TESTED FOR DISEASE. Jesus, this is like "Survival 101." You guys should already know this shit, and I'm sure many of you do already know it. Remember if she (he) will fuck YOU without you knowing them very well, she (he) will fuck SOMEBODY ELSE without knowing them very well. This is how HIV killed 400,000 homosexuals. DON'T BE A DUMB ASS. You are responsible for your own health. And quite frankly, a lot of people with STD's or HIV really could not care less if you die or not. And that, unfortunately, is the truth.

You make that sound like it'd be an accidental thing.

Eh, I wouldn't worry about the std too much, unless you saw floaties in your cup.... also a good rule to keep is..... never drink after anyone and don't let anyone drink after you.
