This was the very first show they put on. Obviously it was graffiti based. The show was May 4, 2000. One First Thursday night a mob of writers were in there busting tags on the walls, the gallery people didnt say anything. But then Sasquatch took a can of that upside down spray paint off a table and busted a tag on the floor. Then this huge drunken art fag walks up on him and starts yelling about how that was part of his stencil kit that he was selling, and Sasq shouldnt have used it. Then he's all "I'm not Fred Meyer mother fucker, you dont rack from me!" and repeats it over and over after Sasquatch already appologized, then sasq gets all pissed and starts talking shit back, and then a couple anarchist art fags from the gallery with like bandanas covering their faces walk up. It gets moved outside and eventually gets broken up without punches thrown. This story would have been better if there was fighting I know. Anyways, thats all I have to say about Martial Arts... You know since no one else is posting any Portland fliks I am getting real sick of hearing you say this doesn't represent Portland. I am fairly new to posting on this board but I have been here awhile and nobody is repping for Portland period. I am aware that there is a freight scene in PDX. However, I am not a writer but an everyday person who has an interest and appreciation for graffiti and the people that pursue it. Since I am also an amateur photographer, taking pictures on my lunch break of graffiti downtown is fun. I don't go to the yards for several reasons, most being none of your business. If you want to show the PDX freight scene, great, get off your ass and take some pictures to post. If you just want to bitch and deny that this is an accurate representation of PDX than make your own thread. Truth be known this is a small fraction of nearly 10,000 fliks I have of downtown street bombing. It is hard to decide what to post and I try to use the most interesting and least embarassing.
