Has anyone else on here seen this flick. It reminds me of a French version of "KIDS" without all the fucking and AIDS and shit but it does have a similiar ending. It was made in the same year. Three kids spending all day smoking, fucking with cops in the ghettos of Paris. It has a smidget of graffiti in there. Damn good movie. Is this available on DVD?

Seen this movie a few times, it was also responsible for a 32 dollar late fee from Blockbuster. I don't see much of a similarity to Kids, the characters in La Haine aren't scummy pieces of poorly-written crap and the film itself is a lot classier than Kids. You won't find a bunch of high school kids sitting around at a party getting all fucked up watching La Haine.

Kids is not a bad movie, but ever since I walked into a party during high school and it was full of a bunch of wack suburbanites sitting around binge-drinking and pot-smoking while watching kids, completely zoned out, I've looked at it as more of a problem than a solution. It doesn't hold a candle to La Haine, either.

I've seen La Haine a fair few times. I really like it.

Talking of old black and white French films, check out Man Bites Dog if you haven't seen it. Very dark, very funny.
