test pattern
i've got some old data on a partitioned drive that people deleted in the past to make room for shit. it seems to all have been stored in the hidden folder RECYCLER. the files aren't visible--it says the content is hidden. it knows the file names, though. is there any way to retrieve my lost files? Herbivore
if you open up any folder and go to Tools -> Folder Options and click on the "View" tab, there's an option to show hidden files.... try that

Herbivore
what?! are you saying that you already knew about the hidden file thing? because i didn't quite understand that first sentence. if that is what you said, then go back to the View tab and uncheck "Hide protected system files (recommended)" if it is checked
test pattern
yeah, i've got that unchecked too. i'm not sure if the files actually exist, or if traces of them still exist.
