I Luv Roo
What's your favorite Metallica Album? Mine is Kill Em All for sure. It sucks that metallica will never make a good album ever again. We, as metal fans should take revenge and file a lawsuit (haha) that would ban them from ever making another album under the guise of 'Metallica' - hey, if they want to make their crappy yo-oh-ho ballads, go for it, just don't call yourselves Metallica. One of the best metal bands ever, sold out in the worst way, and *sniff* no one cares *sniff*sniff* P.S. I know this topic is old, but it's on my mind again, after listening to Kill Em All, Ride the Lightning, and Master of Puppets all in a row. I used to make fun of kids who said Metallica was their favorite metal band because I thought 'oh, they're saying that because they've never listened to anything else' - true there were alot of kids who did that back then....but they really were one of the first of their kind, and probably the best. Guest imported_Tesseract
True, i agree. Kill em all is mu favorite to, i cant really pick between it and ride the lightning, but killemall wins for the cover wich is dope. Dont see it that way though. They're just old, sold out or not the fact is that they cant make another good record. Their freshness is gone, thats all.
Guest imported_Europe
They didnt sell out, they just got older, just like you will do different stuff when youre 40 than what you did when you were 20...

I Luv Roo
They did sell out, because back when Cliff Burton was alive, there was a lot of shit they refused to do. Then slowly, they changed their ways - I guess it happening over 15 years, you don't notice, age comes upon you, but the fact remains - AS metallica, they gave up their early ideals - AND their music went sadly downhill. Guest bug
metallica was my favorite band way back when i was in grade school. after and justice for all, i didn't care about them. they're entitled to do whatever they want, i'm just not listening. its funny how james hetfield was on some metallica documentary bragging about how when they first started, they had a devoted following in LA that would stand right in front of all the other bands with their backs faced to them so the band could see the metallica patch on their jackets, and they would just stick their middle fingers at the bands. he was so proud of being the rebels of the rock scene and was against all the big arena rock bands. then, a minute later in the documentary, he's bragging how ten years later, they went on a big tour with guns and roses so they caould make the tour of "the two best rock bands". basically he just bragging about becoming what he once despised. oh well, just growing up i guess. i just found it funny.
