    If you live in the Big Apple and wanna hear some Coltrane, tune into WKCR 89.9

    They're playing nothing but Coltrane for 2 weeks straight, 24/7. Everything he ever recorded, in forwards as well as backwards chronological order.

    I tuned in, and for some reason I thought I was supposed to be hearing classic rock.. I was like, wtf.. this is jazz! I had no idea who Coltrane was until today.. thanks man.

    Wow, I didn't really expect any response. Coltrane is some heavy stuff. Some people even made some sort of religion after he died based on him somehow, like the church of Coltrane or something, because (especially) towards the end of his life his music was so spiritual and powerfull.


    And on a side note, if you can, please take the time to compare a solo by Coltrane's drummer from the 60's classic quartet (Elvin Jones) with a solo by Mitch Mitchell (Jimi Hendrix's drummer)...and tell me if you can tell the difference.
