It's been pretty widely established that AAC > mp3, so unless you need them for an mp3 player or to share, I wouldn't bother... As far as I know, there is no way to do that conversion, I believe AAC files have some sort of mild DRM limits on them. *Scratch that, the ones with DRM have the m4p filename, which is what you get from the iTunes Store. m4a's are good to go.
