    i was talking with a freind, and we were talking about the music industry, and hes all like "the whole music industry is going down the shitter" and im like good point, so i came on here and i wanna ask you guys where you think its gonna start, is hip hop gonna fade away first, or rock, or any other form of music you guys can think of.

    nothing fades 'away'... it all lasts forever, but it gets harder to find good examples of the various forms... instead of wondering what will fade, wonder what's to come, the new style...

    Go start a band, then complain.

    There's a lot of good music out there; you just have to find it. That is, of course, slightly harder than it used to be. However, the internet puts pretty much every record on the planet at your fingertips. Don't despair, check out an mp3 blog (i don't know shit about them, I just read an article somewhere) or one of the 12oz music threads.

    independant labels are doing better than ever, which means even though the majors are flooding the airwaves with shite, opportunities for new artists to make a go of it are better than ever. it's a double-edged sword
