Dick Quickwood
is it only AIM that disconnects, or is it your connection itself?

cloner
sorry for the time it took to reply, was at work..i think its the connection itself, because when aim disconnects, it'll take a few for IE to start working again..ive tried reinstalling aim and stuff..any ideas? Ummm, my dialup used to do this. It would disconnect like every 20 minutes like clock work... however, if I used IE sometime before that 20 minutes was up, the 20 minutes would start again. What windows are you running? Your problem may be solved if you just open up a site every 15 minutes or so.
Nekro
This seems like something to call your ISP's tech support over.
cloner
its not a problem with that, without the router its fine..but when im connected through the router, thats where the problem lies.

lil'moco
You might have a virus on your PC. Make sure you have some sort of firewall(hardware and software.), and an up-to-date anti-virus program. I had the same problem back in the day. You should also scratch using IE and go with a more secure browser. If you have all of this covered than I guess I just wasted my time. GucciCondom
I get the same god damn bullshit. It randomly does it but it does it ALOT when I'm downloading a lot of things or playing Halo. I had them come out and they said the connection was strong. I was thinking maybe it is some kind of conspiracy to kick you off whe n your using a certain about of the bandwidth.
