Alright, basically I'm in a shit college paying as little as possible until I figure out what I want to do...and then transfer. I've been looking at interior design lately because well...you know that kid that goes over to a new house and looks at how nice the bathroom tiles are? (pretend like you do) That's me. Creating a room, whether by drawing the plans, doing the lighting, picking the furniture and so forth have always interested me to some degree. (I'm heterosexual...really...okay well there was that one time...everyone experiments in college right?)

This is where you come in (not the gay sex part). I'm doing research on it now, figuring out where and what et cetera. And also I'm not sure which part I'm interested in. Do I want to go into conceptual architecture also...but just in case any of you have been there or are there, I pose these questions...

Are any of you currently enrolled in an art school? Does this art school have a good Int.design department? Are you interested in Int.design? Are you a pioneer for straight men in Int.design? Do you know someone who is? Does it suck?

This could be a phase and I could end up sucking dick for crack...but I'd like it not to come to that.

I'm no longer enrolled in art school. It's been many, many years. I was attending the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, then I went to the one in Pittsburgh. For graphic design. Though I do know they have an interior design course. Why am I mentioning it? Because I don't want you to go there. Ever. It's the worst school you could waste your money and time at. Does Cal Arts have an interior design course? I'd look out west.

I personally am very interested in interiors. (Also not gay) It's kind of part of my job. Buying furniture and such for work has sparked an interest. From contemporary (Elle Decor) to modern (Echoes)... I dig it. I'm not sure what the draw is but it's there. I really like when the architect who either designed the room or the house also designs the furniture to go with the house. I think that's very cool.

I'm more in to modern. Mid-century modern. Eames and the like. The King of Hell or Beardo can back me up on this. I own several nice pieces but putting it all together in a cookie cutter apartment has been a hue struggle. It just doesn't look right. So I've given up and have decided to let things sit where they may till we move to something more accommidating.

What's your style? What designers do you like?

tease.. start working on your portfolio. just come up with a ton of scripts for as many different products/services/etc. as you can. then send them to advertising agencies, theyre always looking.

why is it so hard to take your own advice?
