ideal jobs for writers

ok, it's time for me to get a new job, and i don't really care about the pay. so, i'm kinda trying to brainstorm ideas for an ideal job for a writer.

so far: kinko's (or any print shop), a sherwin williams store, lowe's (home depot, etc) and that's where it ends....i can't think of any more beneficial for supplies...

anyone want to brainstorm with me?

On the otherhand rolling walls in an annoying task. But in the scheme of jobology it would cool

Yeah back in '92 I used to be apart of one of those "kids serving the community" organizations where we planted trees and painted over graffiti and picked up trash. I was part of the graffiti buff crew and we would paint over tons of graff. Overtime I became fascinated with the graff and ironically that's what led me to start doing it. Talk about a complete 180. :D

nah, i can't do that stuff. i'm east coast...anyway, there aren't any buff crews here.

i'm just looking for a place that i can work at for a month or two for the fringe benefits.

20% off on paint would be nice, and that's why i thought of home depot or whatever...kinko's however, would be a good place to get 18x24's done at....and sticker paper....

i think i might be aiming too low. i'm gonna start looking for some more angles on this one...there have to be.

I my friend have actually looked into this.I got shit load of info from a few of the guys that work at a local yard by me.Shit ain't easy and being on call 24/7 is a major draw back..

Yeah now that I think about it, it actually is a good idea. That is if you're specifically looking for a job that's "ideal" for a writer, as casek says. Me personally wouldn't do it, as I've stayed on the legal tip due to too many arrests. In high school I did work ideal "writer" jobs, such as working at this graffiti/hip-hop shop on Melrose.

Also I-Patch, could you explain your "fuck Kaze magazine" signature?

XR?????

ok, i'm thinking kinko's would be a good place to work for a couple of months. maybe a photo-mat of some sort...1 hour photo???

maybe i need two jobs that would benefit me???

then i can go back to bartending.

You're thinking too small scale.........if you're going to go out of your way ...............then FUCK saving 20% on paint when you're only getting paid $8 an hr! Get a job where you have access to all types of shit to rack and then sell for the big money! I mean..........a job where you wouldn't be in direct suspicion of being the thief but where you have a good "in" to begin with!

Get smart man!

Get fucking smart!

more benefits than you can shake a stick at.

Walmart is good. paint department. sometimes they get dented cans and they put them in the back- eventually they will sell them dirt cheap.
