USA didn't beat Portugal, Portugal beat Portugal...
an own goal, sleeping defense and a retarded keeper...

USA barely held on to the win once Portugal actually started playing...

I'm pretty sure it was the 94 World Cup... and I think, ironically, the team Columbia lost too was the states...

Andres Escobar scored an own goal in the 1994 World Cup in the US, against the States, ulimately eliminating Colombia. He was shot and killed upon his return. A perfect example of the passion the rest of the world has for soccer. Seriously, it's like the US go out of their way to be completely isolated from every other country....

Americans AND Canadians should go to a REAL soccer game, not the shitty US leages, the European, South/Central American ones. I've been to hockey and football games, they're full of little kids running around, stupid bitches talking about their days, most people are there just because it is a way to spend the night, no passion whatsoever. Soccer games are intense. That's what you don't understand. Soccer isn't a game, it's a religion.......

As for the game, the States didn't look half bad, but Portugal were just brutal. Their goalie has always been suspect, today he, and their defence, were brutal. Portugal crumbled under all the pressure placed in them, but good for the US for capitalising on it........

They're still not going to go through, though.......
