Guest Pilau Hands
When this thing was working fine, it was the best device i'd ever bought. All of a sudden though, today it starts fucking up. It stopped in the middle of a few songs and then wouldn't play for like 2 minutes, and then finally finish the song. When I got home, I restored it to factory conditions, wiping off the 900+ songs I had uploaded onto it already. Yes they're all backed up. Now though, I can't reload them onto it because iTunes decided to be retarded. It takes 5minutes to do anything with the stupid program now, including load it. Once it's loaded, it's set to automatically upload songs from my PC to the iPod...and it freezes while doing this. Everytime. I've restored it, I've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, I've looked for help all over the goddamn place. I spent money on the two year extended coverage, and when i call the number, the ask me to enter my agreement number to gain access...what number? which of the 7 sets of numbers all over my shit do you want? Fuck this thing, I got it early just to have it in time for a trip I'm leaving on tomorrow, and now the shit gives me problems. I understand that guy bitching about his apple product in that online clip circulated a while back. expletive.

Gunm
Like all new technology, i opted to wait. The first wave of all things new are rife with bugs, glitches and other little fuck-ups that drive you up the wall and make your wallet ache with the cost of having to be the first person to posesse said technology. keeping up with the joneses isn't all it's cracked up to be I'm perfectly fine with my Sony IRIVER thank you very much. It may not hold 1 million songs at a time but it fucks up a whole lot less and i don't have to pay $200 to get the battery replaced. Fcuk the IPOD

Guest Pilau Hands
There's something rotten in the yaddayadda...shit I had it working, then it went wrong again. It's nothing serious though. When I plug in the iPod, iTunes freezes. when i unplug it, it's fine again. I gotta call tech support tomorrow, but anyone know what's goin on? Nekro
Seriously, just change the settings in itunes to not synch every time you plug that shit in. Too bad the nomad jukebox is the size of a 350 page paperback novel. Bongos though... there's an idea.

Do you have a slow computer? Just wait a few minutes, on my 3 month old top-o'-the-line laptop it takes about a minute between when i plug it in and when it recognizes the device and itunes opens it. Before itunes came out for windows you had to run your ipod with Musicmatch, it fucking sucked.

Nekro
Originally posted by IVY LEAGUE i didn't know itunes was available for windows... how is it better than musicmatch? Oh my god it kicks so much ass. The interface is actually logical, the playlisting works much better, the settings are actually intuitive. Best part is, when you plugged the ipod in with musicmatch it just gave you a list of song titles (not arranged by artist or album, that info wasn't even displayed) so it was a huge thrash to go through and delete an album. Now it's organized with sense. Apple products are just better than windows ones.

Guest WebsterUno
^^^that all depends on what kind of mac, how much ram you got, how many apps you have, how many apps your running at the same time...and whether or not they are copies....etc etc I use a mac and pc at my station. My pc is always freezing up, it cant multitask for shit, the icons suck butt... hmmmm what else.... *edited, cuzz you edited*...ok...so theyre all g4's. But I hear that running copies of applications can cause your comp to freeze up, or crash. Im having problems like my text rasterizing itself when i reopen a doc in photoshop...and that really sucks ass. Plus, memory can be an issue... my comany is too cheap to hook us up with some beefy amount of ram...fuckin wusses.
