I really dig that second sketch you did(white fill), its fucking excellent man, you pulled of the "y". He obviously didn't discriminate when picking scanning material, and i give him props for that, some nice experimental sketches on show. That last one cought my eye too, reminded me of the kind of letters i use to fiddle with. pretty acute shading on that one. or is it the scanner? "but i limit my sketches to the level i paintin...". here i am, thinking on how to praise this comment the props it deserves. I've never heard a writer say that. PE5KYG5C Posted May 2, 2002 Author Share Posted May 2, 2002 Werd up G money Im not mad, infact, i expected worse... as far as my letter structure goes... i honestly intended for the letters to be the way they are... thats just the style i use, i'd consider it abstract, i dont know what you'd call it, as far as scanning, i dont have a scanner, thats why some are half pics, and some look darker than others, i used a digital camara. Im happy, i got POSITIVE feedback... and as for (cant remember your name) Thanx dude.. i apreciate all the shit u said... but yeah, i mean, alot of writers got sketches that would blow your mind away, shit you'd see in like DAIM's book, or in some art gallery, but then u give em a can, stand them infront of a wall, and you get a blockbuster piece with squiggly lines... they are fake, to me, that is a fake writer, and that makes a writer toy... i know im not a toy, cause i have prooven to my self, that every single sketch i do, i know i can paint... can all of you do that??? can most of you do that??? i honestly dont think so... Now yes, some writers do sketches with the intent to paint them on walls (not all sketches will end up on walls, for the most part) and they color them ill as hell, all 3d and with mad shading and ill effects they did with prismas and pencils, but you look at the piece painted, and it's a 3 color fill, a sausaged out line, and a drop shadow that is soooo off, you cant figure out wicth way it was originally intended to go... one of the letters drops to the left hard, the other a soft upper right drop... u get me, welll, all in all thanx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

sect one Posted May 2, 2002 Share Posted May 2, 2002 i really really like that "la style" one but i think all the other oens killed it and need a lot of work the quickies are nice too you need to work on making all the letters proportionate and DO STRAIGHTS its the ONLY way do simple letters once you get your straight letters move on but start there trust me otherwise its a waste of time! PE5KYG5C Posted May 3, 2002 Author Share Posted May 3, 2002 thanx, i find that one quite funkadelicly fresh my self... im painting that in 2 weeks when i go to tacoma, washington. me and my girl are gonna drive down to cali and im gonna be ho0kin up with some heads that one of my crew members knows there, and we are doing a wall... i will post pics when i get em... as far as pics go... i have a cheap digicam and no scanner, aside from about 12 rolls of film i dont have the money to develope... im poor... i live in the back room of a crack house and i post things telepathicly... i know, it's sad, but not all of us can be RICH white boys... some of us have to suffer, and eat fish scales from the gutter after a hurricane washes the fish up on to the main streets, thats homeless life in florida for a honky... but, i still keep my head up... at least untill i get tierd and bow it down, i;ve trained my self how to sleep standing, so only my head drops... i dont even have a blak bo0k, i lied... i stole those pics from someone, and posted em as mine... i feel so ashamed. punish me please!
