So I found a wallet outside of the office today.

There's about 500$ in it plus a ton of credit cards.

but I'm going to return it.

I've already told a few co-workers about it,

and I put a sign up at the front of the building.

maybe there'll be some reward?

ahh.. moral issues.

If a certain co-worker wasn't there when I found it,

I'd pull the cash out and use it to buy a first-class fed-ex delivery

to get the rest of the wallet back to the guy.

thanks man!

I'm so thankfull that I'm not in the position where I'd sell my

Integrity for $500. After all... Karma can be a bitch.

I cant say that things would be exaclty the same if no one else knew

that I found the thing. I'd probably take the cash, but I'd make damn

sure that all the other contents got back to him.

ohh well.... moral high ground.

man finding 500 dollars would keep me from having to get a job for awhile, id probably take the bank and send it back anonymously.

of course id feel guilty for doing so, but 500 bucks is a lot of money to me.

who carries 500 dollars in their wallet anyway? on top of that, who would put it in any sort of jeapordizing situation that would make it fall on the ground and leave it?

someone who doesnt need 500 bucks, thats who.

id keep the 500 and use the fucks credit cards up. its his own fault for being a dipshit and losing the wallet. a long time ago i was on the beach after the 4th of july looking for fireworks and found a wallet with 300 in it and a bunch of other shit. i had to be a stupid little idiot and return it. fuck that. if i found that now id keep it without a second thought. fuck people.

did I mention that it was found in between an Audi A4 and a Saab Convertible?

500 bucks is a big amount of money to me too!

but I dont think it's enough for me to risk it.

I'd have to go to work everyday thinking that

the guy holding the door for me is the guy whose

cash bought me my new shoes.

fuck em then. their obviously making money if not off you, then off of other people that work hard and get shit on everyday.

you worry that it might be the guy holding the door for you, but its most likely the guy screaming at you in his office or the guy making you work overtime without extra pay.

watch Office Space then think about it...haha

I was at Don Pablos' with some friends celebrating a victorious week of being free lance workers and before the bill came I went to take a piss and found a wallet on the bathroom floor. $250 and a shit load of credit cards. I looked at it for about 10 minutes then decided to take the cash and the guys ID.

I was able to use his ID to buy beer.

let me clear something up...

this is a smallish office filled with new-media types.

This guys isn't making money off of me and he not a slumlord.

Nobody has ever screamed at me at work, and I'll gladly work

overtime for no pay. (I'm lucky to have a dream job!)

and for me... it's a matter of principal.

when I'm 50, I plan on having the future audi, and a wallet full of cash.

Hopefully someone would do the same for me. That's all I can ask.

(guy will get a shock when he see's me!!)

you have got to be kidding.

anyone who walks around with 5 bills in there wallet prolly will not miss it if they lost it,

I've walked around with a grand in my pocket before, and I'd sure as hell miss it if it was gone.

Good man. That money would be damned tempting... but just think, they guy could give you some reward or what not just because his money was all there, ya know? I found a kid's wallet one time, and called the phone number, and talked to his dad, and ended up giving his wallet back. It felt good to do right, his dad was real grateful, I think he actually was a musician, a pianist.... he gave me some CDs and put me on the VIP list to this release party at a reserved section of this real nice restaurant on the lake in Austin... It was worth it.

^^ that's a super score dirty!

I'd be happy if he let me do a lap around the block in his audi!

I'll make sure to reveal what happens when something finally goes down.

see this all reminds me of a classic episode of "Doug" in which mr funnie and porkchop are leaving the bank and find an envelope full of cash. they count it and its like, 5 grand but they bring it to the police station to turn it in anyway. the police laugh at him, weeks go by and he finds the old lady who lost it, she gives him a stick of gum.

"take the money and run"

I dont agree with the "if he has that much cash, he can afford to loose it" bullshit.

Like I said, some days I might have a grand on me.

But if I loose that grand, there's no rent or food for me.

There's no such thing as extra money.
