You might change your mind. I guess Irespect him a bit more than others because he's from Louisville, and I can relate to being a total drunk.. footsoldier
i felt bad for the man..he tried to amke some sense at the end but fell flat on his face. im sure he was drunk as fuck, but i also dont think hes used to speaking on talk shows and shit so that would playa role in his interview sucking. honestly though this guy made a living off of writing books based around drugs and alcohol, would you expect anything less of him? i would have been pissed if he came out in a button down and spoke perfectly. mental invalid
actually the man is argueably one the best journalists in the past 50 years... he has also written on the best poli-sci books i have ever come across...fear and loathing on the campaign trail of 72... i mean youre entitled to your opinion, but if all you have done is seen fear and loathing in vegas, then i suggest you pick up a book its all about the bumper sticker....what would hunter do
!@#$%
^^both true.. i guess books and movies about drugs never really made much of an impact on me because i took the road of personal experience i did everything i could (at one point) to get as fucked as possible and when i emerged on the other side i kind of decided that in order to be a total drunk or drug addict a person must first be totally selfish so the perspective of a person like that is not at all interesting to me it seems as though when people get into a binge phase (of drugs or drink) they completely stop maturing. maybe the guy had some interesting or witty or insightful things to say i guess my brain just doesn't find it useful he was however an extremely entertaining guest and i laughed damn hard the whole time.. i'll give it up for the man.. wooohooo! WISE
Shark Hunt was amazing. He really is a brilliant writer with lots of insight. He is recognized as an expert on gonzo journalism. You can also read his regularily (I think) published column on espn.com, it's called 'Hey Rube' or something. Good if you like sports+gambling+HST's writing.
