That's the whole point. It's a great place to BE. But at what price to the rest of the world? Thats the american mentality, "I'm happy, so fuck it." They don't care to look into anything. But if people were smart enough to not merely at what's given them, but also how it was made and brought to them, people would realize, and everything would improve. Too bad people are satisfied with a glitzy, pleasureful life with no real substance......

Bah, what do i know.

Not that voting is wrong -- I'll vote my ass off -- but what a mess.

On the left, we have dumbass wooden statue #1 -- he actually walks and talks, he'll fearfully support corporate lobbying, thoroughly engage in useless partisan political agendas, enjoy the comfort of shady campaign finances, arrange for criminal pardons when his term is up, and massage the firm hand of a wealthy aristocracy shoved tightly up his squeaky-clean, puppet asshole while fucking all four of his secretaries.

On the right, we have dumbass wooden statue #2 -- he's exactly the same as #1.

In between, we have the public advocate, independent party candidate that no one knows anything about, sits trapped underneath the overall apathy of a bourgeois, love-it-or-leave-it society and has about as much of a chance of succeeding at virtually anything as Richard Simmons does of launching a successful career in Hip Hop.

Doesn't exactly leave me scrambling for the ballot boxes.

In response to xeroshoes. I understand how many people feel about the US. But every country shits on other countries in order try to be better off. America is not the only one. America is one of the largest donaters to the world food supply. Sure we can argue about how America stole this land from the Natives and Mexico. If anyone should be pissed it is me. I am Mexican-American and live in Los Angeles which was Mexico. America stole it. But I mean fuck what are you gonna do keep bitching about shit? I mean Mexico ain't doing much better. I guess what I'm trying to say is ALL countries do their best to look out for themselves, so stop the hating on America. By the way this thread is turning out to be pretty good. Everyone is able to state their point of view with out namecalling and arguing. Wow. By the way I kinda like that drawing.

No offense at all, but a good deal of those "assholes" have lost friends/family of their own from war. A lot of them are flat out angry, and protest as progressive step as well as a way to honor those who've died for a government that wouldn't return the favor. Gulf War Syndrome and your local, crippled, homeless vets are shining examples.

*** yea true, the U.S. needs some changes made, i agree. everybody has their opinion on certain things and has a right to speak out but i think it's kinda wrong when some people are all shouting "America sucks, no rights, die USA blah lah blah" when they themselves are part of the problem . . I'm sure not every one on here is a model citizen.yea

Don't try to fight the system. It's there for a reason and if the system wasn't working it still would not be there. Trying to fight it is like waves crashing on a seawall.

Instead, infiltrate the system, exploit it, bend it to your will, use it for your own ends and come out on top at the end of the day.

If you don't like living here, take your bumper stickers and move to Iraq. I'm sure the taliban would be much more fun to live under than two wooden robots. Sorry, but i love asian porn, marijuanna and ice cream too much to dis this country.
