then thrice came on. im not too keen on thrice. but my lady is so thats cool i guess.

i made my way to the front as HWM was setting up. i kept getting elbowed by some short short fat bitch who i swear was gary coleman in drag. no joke. brah. finally, i elbowed her in the face and managed to get up front.

and heres my short review of "caution":

....some people call these guys "emo"....fuck that. i dont think theres anything remotely "emo" about HWM. theyre exceptional live. they put alot of energy into their music which is something i dont think enough bands do nowadays. the only other band i think has as much energy as HWM was At The Drive In. and theyre just not around anymore, unfortunately.

its my understanding that HWM releases an album every year and a half or so. thats not too shabby. considering that they all pretty much kick ass and dont show signs of slowing down really.

caution is the latest edition to this. after listening to it quite a bit over the past 12 hours ive come to the conclusion that its a little more fast and upbeat then some of the their other stuff. however, that "rawness" is still present pretty much throughout the whole album, which is why i like them. i think the standout tracks on here are probably "remedy" and "trusty chords" theyre very sexceptional. word. if you like HWM youll like the new album. there. now go buy it.

i'm not trying to start any fights here, and nothing against you kids that like em, but i can't stand hotwatermusic... they bore me to tears...
and an album every year and a half ain't much... take a look at godstomper's disography... 10-20 records a year...

all those were shot with my little sony cybershot. i can either use the indoor setting with the flash. or just use the nightshot thing on it which just uses very slow shutter speeds. i tend to use nightshot from far away because the flash doesnt do much then anyhow. plus i like how it looks usually.

so yeah. thats why alot of the shots are like that.

and my girlfriend absolutely hates hot water music. so whatever. everyone does what they want.
