    Hip Hop Mystery...shed light.

Hey, i'm from Europe...there are a couple of things in hip hop i dont understand at all...lets go:

1: Who the fuck is shorty? if anyone has an answer i'd appreciate it. I cant remember when was the first time i heard it but i've stumbled upon it many times. Do Wu tang, Jay-z and all the others talk about the same shorty or is it a metaphor or something deep like that?

2: Why the fuck everyrapper talks about Versace? do i miss the connection here?

hmm, i had more but alcohol doesnt help my memory

    :dazed:

a shorty is a little kid... possibly a little girl, hence girls are shorties... (like 'baby girl')

Versace is something that everyone in the ghetto knows is expensive, like Gucci... I mean, on the designer tip... there are other forms, like drinking Courvoisier or putting $22,000 rims on an $800 car...

what is with 'axe' instead of ask? you know, like,
rappers like to say, example, 'can i axe you a question',
instead of saying 'ask'? it's ASK ya retards.

the whole axe thing i just considered more of an insecurity issue, granted some are just raised that way.. but i think for most it's a way to advertise their blackness.
