I dont like rollins band in the least, but I'm a big fan of hanks spoken word stuff. Always funny as hell...especially the "cover band drummer psycho fan kidnaping incident" story...

Henry Rollins joined Black Flag way back in the day. Many thought it was the end of the band being good. I do not agree. He was the singer until the band broke up. He then started Rollins Band, which I don't like as much but I still listen to occasionally. On the side he does "spoken word" stuff, which is just him talking to an audience, ranging anywhere from a lecture to storytelling to poetry-type stuff. (I haven't heard his spoken stuff yet so I couldn't say where his emphasis is.)
I did hear a Jello Biafra tape, which was more of a lecture, which was on point.

ive seen henry rollins and jello biafra spoken word. Jello is alot more political (duh) and henry talks mainly about personal experiences. that one story about how his friend died may be the worst thing ive ever heard.

henry rollins would kick your ass as well as mine. probably both at the same time, so my point being, i dont like him or the band, but i have respect for a dude who takes it.

I haven't heard any of Rollin's spoken word, but Jello Biafra is one of my heros. I highly recommend everyone go check out his spoken word albums.
