I bought a L'Espion Digital Camera (with Quicktime Video Capture) and installed the software for mac no problem, i have a PowerMac 7300/180 running OS 8.6, the camera's requirements being 'Mac running OS 8.6 or later.' and 'Image editing application supporting Adobe Photoshop compatible plug-ins...', so far so good...i installed the Adobe Photoshop plug-ins no problem, then i go to the photoshop import menu, but when the window opens for my thumbnail pics i get the message 'camera not plugged in' when i can see the camera is taking power from the USB cable
i'm sure there is no problem with the USB port, as no trouble with importing from scanner or exporting to printer using the same port

so basically i need to know why i'm getting the message 'camera not plugged in', and then how to get my computer to find the camera and get my pictures

i'm posting this question wherever i can, it's doing my fucking head in, spending money on a digital camera and then not being able to use it sucks badly, so any advice welcome, even links to forums or whatever
