I used to draw the nautical star when I was a kid. I can't find the nautical use for it. The star has been a popular symbol forever and ever. It's not surprising that people want it as a tattoo, I myself am in the process of picking a design (not a sxe design). Zack, any help? I must reiterate though that I don't think they really have a universal symbolic meaning at this stage, they are decorative and there's nothing wrong with that. vinyl junkie Posted February 11, 2002 Share Posted February 11, 2002 don't bother trying to find a meaning in trad. or flash tats... at my work recently i saw seven girls all with the same tattoo (the japanese kanji for power). out of boredom, and want of play i talked to each of them about their tattoos. guess how many translations i got for that kanji? that's right, seven! guess how many of them were actually right... yup, none! the moral of the story is, (my personal opinions about trad and flash aside) if yer gonna get a traditional tattoo, get cuz it looks good, and it's gonna be done well... you'll never find one true meaning... also, ASER1NE- hc is hardcore... good fast loud music, bme is the Body Modification E-zine (http://bmezine.com/ ), and emo is annoying, whiny music that you hope you'll never have to hear... Actually they have a little graffiti connection built in - they're chrome/silver with a black outline and drop shadow. Come to think of it, I HATE those tats of wildstyle pieces!
