RumPuncher
HOT SHIT!~ It's a rainy day in Novemeber, so I pop in some GNR for kicks. Without a doubt... they are the last great rock band. People traded in the leather jackets for flannel and docs, but I know that looking back years from now, GNR will stand so high abouve all the rest of the shit music that came in their time. Sure they went all fuckered uppered and 'Velvet Revolver' sounds like it belongs in the undertones thread, but you can not fuck with the classics. Guns and motherfucking roses! ^ this person might feel foolish, but I'd shake her hand. now show some love kiddies.

Weapon X
I love GNR...I think everyone does. I recall the days in grade 7 and 8, when the hot chicks would wear their ripped jeans and black gnr t-shirts.

duh-rye-won
although i wasn't a specific rocker for halloween, rest assured it was GnR inspired and the awesomeness in all of it's totallity that is guns and roses shall forever burn bright within my heart. i saw slash once getting into a cab in new york. my girlfriend at the time LITERALLY almost fainted. she needed to sit down and she was practically hyperventlating. she is a big fan of slash. hey, come to think of it, my x gave me that shirt i'm wearing as my halloween costume. well great. now i'm feeling a bit melancholy. ^ :o ^

If you read the cover of G'N'R Lies, he explains how the song is generic and generalized and tongue in cheek. I am such a nerd.... I guess you could say I like G'N'R. Just a little bit ;)

Quoted post not really. most of that grunge shit sucked major ass. I HATED pearl jam, soundgarden, etc...but Nirvana alone took it. I revere Nirvana alone as one of the greatest mainstream rock bands ever. I don't even own any nirvana albums, plus i grew up on Apetite for Destruction and all other late 80s rock, but it's obvious that Nirvana was a breath of fresh air to all that bullshit rock star ego that plagued late 80s rock. the whole grunge thing HAD to happen as a result of everyone sick of the same tired rockstar egos tha groups like guns n roses embraced. guns n roses were good, but not as significant as other acts that followed. meateater
GNR are one of my allllllll time favourite bands! i have all their cd's,grown up with there music and i will and could never get sick of them as i listen to these guys easly a cuple times a week. I have a good dvd documentary on gnr called" sex drugs and rockn roll" i recommend on seeing it... theres probly wayy more aout there but this tells you some pretty cool infomation about them and whilst they where groing up and where they separated to. They say that axl rose was like the eminem today, not giving a fuck what people think. ALL of his lyrics are killer. well enough of my babbling, get some GUNS AND ROSES into ya's!!! :love2:

Guest
I saw an interview with slash and he said soemthing like "People talk about Axl like he's just an asshole, but that's not the case. He's actually got mental issues" Last night I told my buddy about my 'November Rain' mood and he cheered me up by wailing away on the air guitar and singing the ENTIRE guitar solo note for note.
