They started playing together in Tokyo in the late 1980's, and they have been rocking loudly and continuously ever since. Their music, which is fueled by legendary amounts of alcohol and supposedly influenced by the likes of Link Wray, Joan Jett, and Johnny Thunders, is called JET ROCK, and it absolutely rocks like nothing else you've ever heard. Their live shows are crazy and chaotic, and their off-stage antics are equally alcohol-soaked and nuts. intercity Posted December 17, 2002 Share Posted December 17, 2002 man, the girl in ladytron is like a 10, but they fucking suck. my roommate is on this new wave kick and all he's been playing is shit like the faint, le tigre, and ladytron. i'm going insane... on the topic, guitar wolf is fucking good. japan's been pumping out some awesome bands... i'd check out tom and bootboys, the dick spikie, bad vultures, and cannons too.. by the way, i'm surprised the dude in guitar wolf's hair is so small... everything in japan is so exaggerated, you'd think his pompedour would be like 8 feet tall.
