guess the next song by the record static...

Discussion started by seeking - Aug 5, 2002

alot of the songs i have on mp3 originaly came from records, so the begining of each song has static loops... because my job is so unfuckingbelievably boring, a game i've invented for myself is "guess the next song by the 4 seconds of record static at the begining" where i, as im sure you've guessed, try and differentiate by the particular cracks, hisses, volume, etc, of each individual tracks static. i put my whole collection on random, an just go at it... suprisingly, im right a good portion of the time. i might not always get the song, but i can usually get the album. out of 1500 mp3's, thats not bad.

    im real bored.
    obviously.

the last song was 'tool - cold & ugly'... i got it right, :)

i was thinking of making a song constructed out of static but Pole beat me to it, its sounds so warm and conforting in a wierd way like being inside a robotic womb.
