So i got it all figured out. I use firefox and a small firefox extention that directly connects me to gmail. Everytime i tried to log in, or just visit http://www.gmail.com i'd get a 'connection failed' window.

I had to pay a little visit to sp2's windows firewall and exlude mozilla from the list.

It looks like sp2 is full of conflicts with previous software, i assume it will take some time until everything rolls butter again, so the ones of you that still havent installed sp2, keep that shit in mind and the ones that have, report back here if you find anything that made your life easier with sp2.

cheers

i haven't installed SP2 yet either, because i have read a bunch of horror stories about it completely disabling peoples' computers, forcing them to reformat. from what i know, the only benefit is better security, but i got shit on lock with my computer's security. Zone Alarm firewall, AVG 7.0 Antivirus, Spy Sweeper, Peerguardian..... so i don't really have a reason to upgrade and i probably won't unless i need it for something.

spectr, get Spy Sweeper.... fuck Spybot.... Spy Sweeper found 100 spyware objects that Spybot and Ad-aware combined didn't find.
