So i got it all figured out. I use firefox and a small firefox extention that directly connects me to gmail. Everytime i tried to log in, or just visit www.gmail.com i'd get a 'connection failed' window.
I had to pay a little visit to sp2's windows firewall and exlude mozilla from the list.
It looks like sp2 is full of conflicts with previous software, i assume it will take some time until everything rolls butter again, so the ones of you that still havent installed sp2, keep that shit in mind and the ones that have, report back here if you find anything that made your life easier with sp2.

    cheers

I have refused to update to SP2 for the various reasons people complained of in this thread. Is there any reason I should update?
