Since the day i discovered booty i always loved

this shit. Years ago when there would be booty parties

in the city pretty frequently it was common knowledge

that besides Detroit and Chicago (Dj Funk) Booty didnt

really show up elsewhere in the nation/world. Im hoping

that by now everybody has heard this stuff. Its sick electro

beats with violent sexually degrading explicit vocal

anybody that hasnt should try to find DJ Assault "Straight

up Detroit Shit" There are 6 of these and a few with different

names. I would Highly Recomend Volume 4 & 5 but they are

all fucking good. Its the kind of shit that you will hate

yourself for likeing and chances are you will love it. Each album

has between 80 and 100 tracks.

also check out Dj Godfather, Disco D, Dj Funk but the Assault

mix cds are off the chain

I've got a ton of dj funk and dj assault mixes.

ass and tittes

hoes take off your clothes

booty percolator

however..... ghetto teck is shit.

'Booty House' is fine, but everytime I've heard

'ghetto teck' played it always turns into some

hardcore shit. Without the soul and the spirit of

miami bass, it just becomes noise with swearing.

it's close.

some people call it 'ghettotechbootyhouse'

but the truth is that 'booty house' is a lot more

like house mixed with miami bass and hiphop

but ghettotech is hardcore beats, electro sounds

and dirty words sprinkled in.

there a long and fucked up history to electronic music.

the only thing that is certain, it that the idea of playing 'loops'

started in jamaica with dub. After that gay black men in chicago

made up something called 'house'. Gay black men in newyork

made up somthing called 'garage'. Did gay black men in Cleveland

come up with 'Tool Shed' ? We'll never know.

Detroit is credited with the 'Techno' sound,

and the trues 'techno' producers like Jeff Mills, Cral Craig

Ritchie Hawtin and Stacey Pullen are from there.

I listen to good techno sometimes and it's nothing like 'ghettotech'.

here's the thing... and I'm no expert but I do my research.

'miami bass' as I know it is really two generes.

the main one is stuff like 2live and dance tracks like 'Tootsie Roll'

and the other type is more like electro that car stereo freaks

used to test the subs. It's all about the 808 but the commerical

'rap' style stuff feature girls singing and hooks and shit.

The raw shit will blow your speakers.

i would trade techno for booty any day

booty=fun. I probably listened to those

Assault Mixes a few hundred times each

through and through.

The thing is if you only have tracks you are

missing out because the good part of those

cds is how he mixes them together. Plus the

tracks are so short that 4 or 5 of them only

take up 3 or 4 minutes

either way... it can all start to sound cheese.

Around here the only people who would go to a ghettoteck show

are the raver kids who are still into hardcore and jib. Dumb kids.

Yeah.... I think I'm going to pop in some old assault mixes tonight to get ready for friday night.

I'm hitting up an old school hiphop jam, so that 'D' will help hype me up.

+ I have an album called comin from tha d ghettotech

and it's got all the classics... but in long versions.

I used to be way into detroit electro before it went ghetto-tech. It got its start when one of the artist moved to detroit from miami and kind of fused the miami bass sounds with the detroit techno sounds. something loosley along those lines, there were plenty of other influences involved. I used to always buy stuff like AUX 88, Drexcyia, ectomorph, direct beat, 190west(?), UR and others. I can really only listen to any of this in small amounts now. I actually played some parties in detroit way back (94/95) w/ godfather and another w/ dj funk and some other chicago cat.

DJ Funk is one of the shittiest DJs on earth. I saw the motherfucker live at an otherwise decent party one time, and got pretty close. The stupid fuck was playing CDs and pretending like he was using the tables, but they weren't even turned on. Fucking shitty ass music, too. Fuck a funk.

You can't deny the greatness of DEMF/Movement. I'm definitely going again this year.

The party I saw funk at was some ghetto ass warehouse deal in Columbus, Funk & Foam. His CDs were fucking up there too, but he kept blaming it on power problems even though the rest of the party still had lights, music, etc... I remember at about 5 in the morning this fucking cadillac pulls up in the outdoor area behind the party and these gangster dudes start slinging meth out of it. It was hilarious.
