As a scientist of sound, Ge-ology digs deep into the center of the universe, sifting through layers to reach the vibrations at its core. Once above ground, these vibrant textures mesh with the voices of the spirits in his head, and mutate into tracks such as movement 1 of "Brooklyn" from the Mos Def solo LP, Black on Both Sides & "Elevator Music" with Asheru & Blue Black from the Unspoken Heard. Armed with a rich musical history, starting with his early training as a cornet & trumpet player, later learning to DJ at the age of 12, and eventually forming a 4 member hip-hop group in high school creating the very first recordings of & with the young soon to be legendary TUPAC SHAKUR , Ge-ology is able to produce music that defies all current modes of classification. His compositions are a testament to the totality of our earthly existence, as well as to the divine nature of our destiny forever evolving through time. Other artist he's recorded with include Blackstar, Bahamadia, Pharoahe Monch, Vinia Mojica, Res, Sadat X, Truth Enola, Apani B Fly, What What, Consequence, Hi Tek, J-Live, Grap Luva, Lone Catalysts, Rubix, Medina Green, Dabo and the list continues. Having scored the short film "Norma's Lament" (an entry in both the 1996 Sundance & Nantucket film festivals), as well as providing some musical sections for Spike Lee's protege Rod Gale's film, "Camouflage" & music for the Showtime pilot "Street Time", he continually crosses the bridge connecting all forms of artistic expression. He provided the runway theme music for the Mecca USA "Regenerate" show in New York's Bryant Park as models prowled down the catwalk during Fashion Week Spring of 2000. Ge-ology's artwork took residence on the Mecca USA website as featured visual artist in the gallery section over a several month period later that year. Still, you can find both his music & his art combined in the hip-hop video documentary "OPEN TRANSPORT" with a section dedicated to the mysterious man behind the legacy.
