26SidedCube
Ahhh... 10 in the morning, haven't slept from last night, there's a weird foreign film with sub- titles on mute on the cathode basket... and I just put 13 Songs and a mix of almost every Descendents track into the player and hit random. Cigarettes always taste better with Bad Mouth playing in the background... Suburban Home makes the say seem easier to take on. My underwear are comfortable. Every Asian woman is gorgeous. I will have a child named Ian and a child named Milo. Hello Tuesday. I'm not a punk, how can I be? Show me the way to conformity Try to be different but it's always the same End up playin' someone else's game I'm just a square goin' nowhere I'm just a square goin' nowhere You used to walk by my side Now you see me comin' now you hide I see you here I see you there I can see that you don't care I'm just a square goin' nowhere

GamblersGrin
one of the first tapes i ever bought was fugazi's "steady diet of nothing." i still listen to that thing.
Fuck Ya'll
I used to listen to Milo Goes To College religiously. If you like The Descendents, you should check out the Buzzcocks. They are good.
26SidedCube
^^Word. I got Repeater for Easter when I was in 7th grade and two months haven't passed since where I have to put it in... I'm a little more partial to 13 songs, tho. Steady Diet was nice and I ever liked Red Medicine; never got into much after that... if anyone wants to recommend their later stuff I'd appreciate it. And this, my friend, is for you: It's not the end of the world Since your baby left you It's gonna be okay You don't need her anyway You're looking around for someone to love So you don't have to face the world alone But give it some time and you might find That you're better off on you own Cause you could be dead right now You could be the stupidest thing in the world But you're not, look at what you've got And stop thinking about that girl You deserve the best, but it's up to you to get it don't settle for less, you know you're gonna regret it It's not the end of the world Since your baby left you It's gonna be okay You don't need her anyway Watching the rube, moping around Might as well be six feet underground You're watching the game go by Waiting for the final score You got the beer commercials memorized So you've probably heard this before But this ain't the TV talking to you It's a friend who's gonna tell you what you can do You deserve the best, but it's up to you to get it don't settle for less, you're the best and don't you forget it I know what you're thinking ... you'll never find another And even if you did, well, you couldn't love her But out there somewhere is the person, place or thing That you need to make you believe in you It's not the end of the world Since your baby left you It's gonna be okay You can find something better anyway Just take your time. and you will find What your life requires Just take your time. and you will find What your heart desires Just take your time. and you will find You will find Words for feeling like a sissy. I've always known of 'em but sorta wrote them off with the general 'UK Subs', 'Agent Orange', 'DOA', 'Just-Because- It-Sounds-Like-Crap-Doesn't-Mean-I'm-Going- To-Like-It' demeanor... then again it's been 8 years and I think I only heard maybe 2 songs. I'd post a Circle-Jerks appreciation thread, too... but that'd just end up being a page or two of Ubertones.
seeking
'ALL' is one of the best albums ever recorded. easily one of my top 5 most influential bands of all times. enough good things cant be said about them. I'm not a cool guy anymore As if I ever was before I took a look at all the signs Then rolled it over in my mind The feelings I could not release Became a bitter part of me What was I thinking of? It couldn't stay the way it was I looked at my reflection And I saw a stranger's face I saw where I was going And I had to walk away I lost a girl, it's Just as well She tried to save me from myself I've still got her on my mind Tossing and turning in my bed But if she had stayed another week I would have dragged her down with me She took it till she'd had enough Is that what I thought love was? I told her "see you later" But it's hard to see at all At the bottom of the barrel With your back against the wall I'm not a cool guy anymore Left it behind, then closed the door I know you can't escape the past Now I look back and have to laugh I was my worst enemy It almost got the best of me What was I thinking of? It couldn't stay the way it was I looked up one day and saw that It was up to me You can only be a victim if you Admit defeat
26SidedCube
Tales From The Icebox Hey Seeks, you ever see any of those old ass "Casey Goes To College" stickers back in the Kiser Sozae/CFG/Icebox/Ovenmitts days? Just wondering if those things made it around cause I can't look at an All/Descen. release without remembering that shit... On a close note; I heard Steve (or was it Mike) from Kiser Sozae died last week or something from Tead's girl... you hear anything about that? I dunno how much you used to run in those circles, tho.. Personal note: Nothing will ever beat being too young to drive and being in somoene else's car on the way to highschool hearing Clean Sheets on the deck for the first time. I'd go back to being 14 just to re-live that experiance.

26SidedCube
That list is tattoo-worthy in itself seeing as thought the only tattoos I plan on getting are in list-format anyway. That and I used to own a van that was pretty legendary back in the daze, so that rules out the only questionable one. Damn I fucking love this band. I heard that Fugazi have permanently broken up (I know they were on hiatus since 2001) and that Ian has formed a new band with his wife. Anyone know if this is true?? Plus, how is there no mention of Rites of Spring or Minor Threat in here? Well, I guess there is now.....
