Harvey Wallbanger
New York too? Fuck yeah! My internet connection is mad expensive, and it only works about half the time. I would buy stock in google if it wasn't already so high.

fermentor666
^^ Read through every single bit and byte. This is cool, a corporation doing something with it's money other than hoarding it.
GnomeToys
Keep in mind what Arcel said. Google is a corporation, not some mysterious benefactor out to improve the lives of the public. Their technology and focus lie in the easy cataloging and searching of massive sets of data. They could easily expand upon this to include every piece of text you've ever sent or received while using their wireless service for example, and there are people who would want that kind of search. Then again, similar things are already in place anyway, so it's good that this will be free.

Quoted post Maybe the city could make a stipulation in the contract prohibiting them from selling or giving out that information. That'd be cool.
