For my money, summer music doesn't get any better than driving around listening to My Bloody Valentine or Slowdive. I'm talking 80s and early 90s distorted guitars and guy/girl vocals.

    jesus and mary chain
    spacemen 3
    drop nineteens
    cocteau twins
    the swirlies
    galaxie 500

id also like to discuss any sort of "college rock" from the early to mid 90s here...im stuck in an era that makes it hard to enjoy any new music lately.

I thought shoegaze wasn't a style of music but the way the band acted on stage.

Like instead of looking out into the crowd they sort of stare down at the floor gazing at thier shoes.
