    fire in the trunk?

Discussion started by ubejinxed - Aug 1, 2004

so i was driving home the other night around 2am or so and i'm getting close to my house and the car in front of me starts to slow down and i'm wondering why. then i find out, there is a parked (not running) car up ahead with it's trunk in flames. there is no one around the car, there isn't any police, people or anything. just some random car with it's trunk in flames. i took two pics with my lame camera phone so you can't see it so well. but anyways i'm just wondering what you all think about the possible reasons a car's trunk would spontaneously inflame. i'm sure i'm just being daft but i didn't see anyone around...and unless it was a vengeful person going around lighting trunks on fire i'm at a loss.

    here's the photos

Maybe it was a mob car and they some guy in the truck and he had a flame thrower.

    That is pretty nuts though

My friend saw a tiger on the side of the road yesterday.

My guess would be someone lit it on fire.

that car didn't look like it would have a nice stereo, the car was parked, not running and no one was nearby..

    very strange.

i have been seeing a lot of cars on fire lately, but those were on the highway and there were people around..

I saw a van, while in motion, spontaneously combust in the engine bay on the Massachusetts Turnpike a few years ago. It was amazing. We were driving the other way, though, so no flick could be taken.

hahahaha... yeah, my roommate was right there on Jackie Robinson when that happened.
Kid thought it was a dog until he pulled up next to it and noticed it was a 500 pound striped beast.

The best part of that story was actually when he was telling it last night and one of his half-wit friends he had over turns to the other and says, serious as shit, "No way dog, that's gotta be a cover-up. Terrorists do weird shit now days."

    The 'are-you-fucking-kidding-me' silence was profound.

That looks like Chinatown, maybe someone lit a firecracker and it hit the trunk which was full of firecrackers.

I saw a cab on fire on Storrow Drive (main Boston road) last summer when I was driving home at night. I got worried that it would blow up when I drove by it. It was also on fire in the back.
