Ok ive thought about these questions over and over untill i got the answer. "Is a glass half full or half empty?" answer---> Neither if its poured to the top then emptied halfway its half empty but if its filled halfway its half full. "If a tree falls and nobodies ther does it make a sound?" answer---> no, if there is no one there to perceive the sound then sound does not exist.

sorry, back to the lab son, you're an idiot...

sound is percieved vibration, yes, but the fact that no listening device is present does not negate the existance of the vibrations themselves... look that up in your Fuck and Wagnalls

actually sound isn't actually a physical thing ... its just a word for a vibration of air molecules ...

so sound does NOT exist when there is no 'ear' for the vibrations to hit ...

again, just because the ear isn't there to percieve them doesn't negate the the existance of the molecular vibrations... that's like saying a watched pot never boils

yes, the vibrations do exist, but they can't be defined as sound without an ear to hear them... smarty.

go ask a physicist they will tell you exactly what i told you ... you're wrong dude

the question was "does sound exist" and no, it doesn't ...

the sound from the tree does exist. it's just nobody would konw it existed becasue nobody would have heard it. so just becasue we don't hear the sound dosnt' mean its not there.

dude, I believe that physicists will tell you that sound does not exist in a vacuum

I also know how the existance of time travel has been proven by the Uncertainty Principle

this is the closest statement to the truth yet, but definition is subjective... for example, we refer to both sound and light waves, when on a molecular level they are all vibrations... also, the word Ear is subjective, even listening device is flawed... for example, all you have to do is measure the "sound" through a Richter Scale, thereby percieving the vibrations, and a comparison to 2 other richter stations can determine the direction, duration and speed of the vibrations, anything moving faster than mach1 can be assumed to be causing an audible report, no matter where it is, or who is there to "hear" it

if a tree falls and your there and it makes noise..then obviously the same tree would make noise even if you werent there. for example if you don't go to school is there still school or does everyone not go?
