File Compression

So I downloaded Medal of Honor: Spearhead on my girlfriend's DSL

because it's a 750 mb file, and I didn't quite feel like trying to get it on

my 56K. However, a 750 mb file isn't gonna fit on the 700 mb discs I

have, so I've resorted to file compression. I tried WinZIP and WinACE

separately, but I only got it down to 718 mbs. I then tried a combo of the

two, which resulted in a file 1.5 gb's in girth. I need to know the best

possible method of compression so that maybe I can fit this on a single

CD-R.

P.S. This may seem trivial, and it is. But I waited a fucking week for it to

download and I'm not going to give up easily.

Here's what you do..... go look up the UHARC compression algorithm. It was created by Uwe Herklotz

there are ways to find it online, although it's hard to get ahold of. I swear by this program because I've seen it compress files to almost 2000%.... which is very far beyond ACE, ZIP, RAR etc...... I cannot offer any support on it though.... so take what I've told you and run with it.

access to everything now, which is fuckin great. thanks for the tips, but

this is the easiest way for the effort I'm willing to put in.

I'm in a pickle now... I go to hit Setup, and when it brings you to that

first dialog screen saying "Setup will now install blah blah" I hit next.

Normally at that point, you'd get the prompt for your cd key. This time

though I get an error saying it can't find that .exe, and setup shuts down.

Upon searching for that .exe (medal of honor_code.exe) I find it, and am

completely oblivious as to why windows 'can't' find it if it's in the same

place it would've been on the store bought cd.

Oh, and word to 500 posts. :D
