    Favourite Animated Disney Movie?

    Discussion started by Weapon X - Jul 21, 2004

Okay, well, a lot of you know that Disney has decided to discontinue movies made with traditional animation. They are going the way of Pixar, and I am sad for that. Don’t get me wrong, movies like Finding Nemo and Ice Age look good, but they are not as visually stunning as, say, the Little Mermaid or Sleeping Beauty.

In honour of those old films that I watched over and over and over again, I ask you – what are your favourite animated Disney flicks?

I’m going to go with The Little Mermaid, Jungle Book, and Lion King. But really, I like them ALL.

I remember when all the illustrators I know found out about this.. they were basically crying. Poor, poor kids.

Animation: Monsters Inc, not animated; Mary Poppins. LOVE that movie.

Lion King is the first movie I remember almost crying at. It was the part where Simba's father had just gotten trampled.

    Jungle Book
Little Mermaid (Only the first one)
    Lion King
    Pinocchio

That's all I can recall (didn't feel like clicking on the link.)

Oh by the way, Fantasia 2000 is fucking awesome. When I worked at a movie rental store, I would put that in and just stare at it. The animation/score syncopation is just amazing.

Animation-wise, I always thought Beauty and the Beast was stellar. Plot-wise.....um......Bambi?

little mermaid, up until i met some bitter bitch named ariel. i still have the original vhs cover with the penis castle.

    lion king

animation wise i'd have to go with dr. dazzle's choice, beauty and the beast.

and i'm not going to front, i own lilo and stitch.

if you look on the original little mermaid vhs covers, there is a gold castle smack in the center of the cover. if you look really closely, right in the center of the castle is a golden penis. or golden dildo. which ever way your imagination wants to take it.

    *edit* hahahaha seeee!
