    Scale Test Cars...

    Are just that...they are used to make sure that the scales used to weigh cars are properly calibrated. they do this so the company can make sure it doesnt over/under charge customers, and to make sure they are not violating any weight safety regulations. they also have covered hoppers that are converted into larger versions of these.

    I saw a couple when I was really young, probably 8 or 9, when they were doing a bunch of work in a nearby yard. Haven't seen any rolling though.

    is that the only size those cars come in??? or do they have any that are larger???just curious, because i saw a car that looked similar to that one in the yard but it was larger....
