Drum and bass heads..

Ferris Bueller

Recommended Posts

I've just recently started getting into dnb/jungle, and I just wanted to know what some of ya'll listen to and what you recommend. I've been bumping dieselboy, adam f, bad company. I know there are a few UK heads on here, and I understand it's got quite the scene over there....

what's up?

Thanks for comin' through 8onus, I'll be sure to check some of that out.

I know of one local dj at the moment who spins dnb here, easyryder or something like that. a buddy of mine spins house regularly here in town and he's pretty deep into the other scenes. i can always check with him.

Dj Rap is hot as hell.... but that's about it.

As far as production goes.... it's iffy.

I recomend

Aphrodite

Nicky Blackmarket

Hive

Ragga Twins

If you can, cd's and mixtapes by the following Dj's are ALWAYS worth picking up....

snuggle, rinse, flux, hive, R.A.W.

Heretic, Machete, Stareyes

GO to www.pureacidmixtapes.com and chgeck out their drum and bass section, they carry a lot of stuff by the artists and dj's I mentioned. They offer sound samples for a lot of the tapes and cd's too so ya get to hear what you're getting before you blow $15 of you cash.

M'eh, Jungle is pretty much taking over my stereo these days. Calling it drum and bass is to label thyself a politically correct scenester.....call it jungle now and forever

yeah, but I think to take that word and use it in a positive connotation goes a long way towards eradicating it's, uhm, sordid past as a term.

S'cool man, i know by the time you flow me some tunes it'll be well worth the wait.

If anyone wants to swap jungle tracks send me an email cambodiaholiday@yahoo.com. I like the spacey atmospheric stuff and the dark rolling bass.

good calls to all who've posted lists

i almost forgot about my dylan, edrush and optical and marcus intalex cds.

i went and looked throungh my cd binder of about 200 mix tapes(not all jungle)

gridlock is the dope shit

adam f will soil you pants when he isn't completely trashed off his ass.

and what yall know about danny the wildchild

freakyflow is good shit too.

DJ RAP is definatly HOT and i have definatly used some ogf those pics on her site for the wrong reasons. her production is either the illest shit you'll ever hear or just plain shit.the "the music in me" track is devestating and i am currently just completed a hip hop remix of it for a local MC. even if all the baby ravers think she is the shit over-glorifying her, i still like her sets, last time i saw her was at the DC tunnel and she killed it, MC armanii was there too so i was more than impressed.

RANSOM

don't sleep on this cat, he's sick,
