downloading songs......ROCK genres.

so i've been on the nerd box a lot lately, but that's a book to itself on why it is that way.i've been just downloading anything imaginable it seems.i'm running out of ideas.i'd like to hear suggestions on ROCK only.i'm not talking about mainstream led zeppelin, pink floyd or jimi hendrix here either.i'd like to hear:

low profile bands, indie bands, old rock n roll(60's to 80's), old punk(none of that mall teenager shit), even new wave maybe, hard to get stuff, songwriters maybe.

figured i'd come correct

i'll come out with a few bands and two good songs from each one so that you can at least start off with some good stuff and decide if you want to indulge in more

dinosaur jr. : water, let it ride

pavement: frontwards, shoot the singer (1 sick verse)

bad brains: banned in DC (duh) , the meek

built to spill: carry the zero, stab

j. mascis and the fog: ammaring, same day

most of that is indie-esque except for bad brains, which is harsh as fuck

ask and i'll give more
