    Discovery Channel Apreciation Thread

    Discussion started by 8onus - May 9, 2004

so i was watching disc. channel today and saw this thing on the French Foreign Legion. i love the marines(a lot of my freinds are) but these dudes make any marine, spec. op etc, look like the lolipop squadron.

-they are mostly made up of criminals and action junkies
-at least 1 out of 10 die before thier 5 year contract is up.
-they fight for the french but are all foriegners so there is no limit to the training(ie lots of "died in training") cause no one will care.
-after your 5 year contract is up, if you are still alive they will give you a french passport with anyname you want on it to anywhere you want to go.

these guys are the toughest mother fuckers on the face of the earth. i swear. thier moto is "you join to die"

so share some cool ass shit you saw on there or TLC or whatever.

    interesting...

I've always been a big History Channel fan, myself. The last time I watched, it was either a 1 or 2 hour program on the Nazi party. Very cool.

I watched about 4 hours of Mythbusters today.

Did you know that fecal flakes are unavoidable?

 I watched that too, Mythbusters fuckin rocks.

I also watched the Dinosaur show, which is great.

Have any of you guys seen the show called
"The future is wild" or something like that?
It's a CGI show (like the dinosaur show) that
shows what Earth is like (scientific theories)
    100, 200, & 300 million years in the future.
It's one of the best shows I've seen on Disc/TLC.
