In a need to keep my spirits up and the blood moving, I've been listening to a lot more old hiphop lately, which i mostly stay away from nowadays cause there's so much modern garbage i'm not feeling. I started mixtape digging.

I'm mostly thinking east coast here but that's just what I know more of. But a few of these are west coast too, and more are welcome. in the "House Party" era. There was just this period in the late 80's early 90's where so many solid songs were released and a lot of artists were consistently putting out the joints. I was still a little young, and mostly listened to these songs a few years after they came out. So, I need more. Lots more, and I know there are a bunch of people on here who know what I'm talking about. Please contribute if you've got a list, and I know you do.

    i'll start the ball rolling

    all the Pete Rock remixes
    Pete Rock & CL Smooth - T.R.O.Y.
Souls of Mischief - 93 'Til Infinity
A Tribe Called Quest - We Got the Jazz
A Tribe Called Quest - Scenario
A Tribe Called Quest - Can I Kick It?
Black Sheep - This or That
    Brand Nubian - Slow Down
House of Pain - Jump Around (don't even front)
3rd Bass - The Gas Face
Lords of the Underground - Flow On
Nas - It Ain't Hard to Tell
Nice and Smooth - Sometimes I Rhyme Slow
    De La Soul - Buddy
De La Soul - Me Myself and I
Big Daddy Kane - Ain't No Half Steppin'
Eric B. & Rakim - Let the Rhythm Hit 'Em
Special Ed - I Got it Made
Special Ed - Freaky Flow (PR remix like whoa)
Special Ed - I'm the Magnificent

honorable mention: Snow - Anything for You (All Star Cast Remix) 1997
good song, minus the parts where snows doing whatever he did
