After flippin through a few pages, and the obligatory article that somehow relates to myspace, I notice an article on our new student body president. He seemed like a good enough guy at the debate, but did not get my vote. Anyways, apparently the dude served 8.5 years in prison for a rape sentence. His story if they were drunk, it was consentual, and after the fact she changed her mind and said it was forced. The truth? Who knows. It gets me thinking though...should colleges perform background checks on those running for student gov? He sure as shit would not have been elected if cats knew he was a rape-o. ???
