Copying a DVD to Computer

    is there anyway that i can copy a DVD to an mpg file or something so that i can use it as a vcd or a file on my computer ?
    what program do i need for this ?

    i know you'll need a dvd ripper.

    go to download.com and search for one.

    thats the best i can do for you. maybe someone else knows more.

    *edit. dvd ripper, not dvd dripper.

    they only have dvd audio rippers on that site, the dvd ripper they had is no longer there.

    Darn, this dude at work left a porno there, so i nabbed it and was gonna copy it to my computer some how then take it back monday morning :lol:

    there are a couple of progs. that do this...i forget what its called but one was like MyDivx or something. The bad part is it fucks up alot and takes a while to crack the key on the cd. Also, your computer must be uptodate. which sucks

    i was looking for a program to convert an .avi file to a .mpg, and i ran across a program that makes .avis out of DVDs, i don't remember the name though

    You need something like DVD X Copy to break the encryption on the DVD, then you need to compress it down. Do some homework.
