    anyone know how to turn down the sound on my modem, its wickled loud when i connect, and its starting to grate on my nerves. im running windows 95 if that matters

    im not sure of the exact process but i know that the modem has a speak inside your comp and you have to turn it down on the actual modem. hope that helps. maybe pop that shit open and have a look?

    under Extra Settings, type M=0

    if its on a laptop but i kinda doubt it you can just turn down your speakers for sound and it will turn the modem speaker down, or your isp setup might have an option to turn your modem speaker off

    smart always coming through with the shit nobody else knows. I would have said turn off your speakers...but I haven't used a dialup in quite some time

    umm i heard if you jab the speaker a couple times with a screwdriver youll be straight, try it out, tell me what happens

    start>settings>control panel>modem>properties>speaker volume down

    you are done
    the extras settings is extra work may get in the way if you have a string
