I probably posted in the original one, seeing as I saw this movie for the first time a year and a half ago. What’s different about this thread is that it’s on the DVD. What’s different about the DVD is that it comes with a special feature documentary called News From A Personal War. News From A Personal War was really quite good. It interviews policemen, ghetto kids from the favela, older gangsters, and kids in prison who have revolution on their mind. Definitely worth checking out. boner Posted June 9, 2004 Share Posted June 9, 2004 i rented it last night. i thought the subtitles were distracting, although i'm glad it was in portugese. the special feature also blew me away. the sheer number of guns on the streets of rio is disturbing, as well as the level of police corruption. this movie was definetly an eye opener.
