CAR PAINTJOBS - ADVICE..

Hi,

I have the opportunity to paint someone's car.

Has anyone here done this?

I need to know what kind of paint i can get away with - the best way to prep the surface - any other tips etc.

well my home boy had a primer car and he just went there with regular krylon cans and fucken pieced that shit.

he clear coated that shit after he was done.^^

I want it to be proper custom style

I will spend a weekend on it so I want it to be flawless

well for what i know of he started from here in Hawaii writing Atak, then he we to San Diego (i think) to get up there, if Klevr is in San Diego then i guess thats where he went. he kept on writing Atak until he found out there was another Atak where he was. he was doing bad ass burners, and local writers thought it was the Atak from San Diego. so he got pissed and changed his name to Asalt! TE! ASK! GM!

you want to get a professional finish with spray paint on a car eh?

id say if it is going to be for a professional show quality car youd have to airbrush that shit.... if its just primer then fuck just use cans. my truck is in full primer right now and im thinking of peicin it.

regular ass paint...if you want it to be more permanent just put a clearcoat on it...but that's not your problem...i just freestyled this one a long time ago w/ mostly regular-ass wal-mart 1$ paint..gay I know but he liked it.

i was down in san diego a few years ago and i was drinkin beers at this dudes house, and there was something that had some graffiti on it and the dude said his boy wrote ASALT and that he did the work, it didnt say asalt it said the dudes intials or something

Really appreciate the feedback - I have access to an airbrush so i might use it for detail.

I'm considering using spray paint and paint pens - presumably it doesn't matter provided i give it a tasty coat.

Liking that Asalt - like the pic too - he looks like a ghost

use the blue tape its great for everything especially sealing doors and stuff also dont cover the whole window up with the blue tape use plastic covering. it needs to seal good so it dosent get on your windows unless you want that lol :eek:

order a thousand otr pens and go krazy

buy some belton and montana....or some real nice paint...dont fuck up! ya clear coat it after....i would maybe draw it out in pencil first....but i dont know if pencil would draw on a car??
